Dental disease affects most dogs over the age of three, yet it is easy to miss.
1. Persistent bad breath. A sign of bacteria building up below the gum line.
2. Red or bleeding gums. Healthy gums are pale pink.
3. Chewing on one side. Often a sign of a painful tooth.
4. Yellow-brown tartar. Tartar cannot be brushed away once it hardens.
5. Pawing at the mouth. Book a check if you see this more than once.
